Snow Patrol was formed in 1994 with a shrug by Gary Lightbody and Mark McCelland while attending the University of Dundee, Scotland. They changed their name to the polar bear in 1995 while playing in college and the bars around. In 1997, they changed their name to Snow Patrol and released three songs from the EP, Starfighter Pilot call the Electric Honey label. They released two albums on Jeepster, 1998's Songs for Polarbears and when It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up in 2001. After plummeting by Jeepster was signed by the fiction. They have acquired a commercial success with the only run to reach number 5 in the UK Singles Chart. The album from which it was taken, Final Straw peaked at number 3 in UK charts. In early 2005, McCelland left the group, Paul Wilson has been drafted to replace him on bass. His fourth album, Eyes Open, was released in 2006, became the fastest selling British album 2006 with 1.6 million sales, but also sold over a million copies in the United States. On July 30, appeared in the latest issue, long BBC Music performance, Top of the Pops, performing Chasing Cars, the band was always the last act of appearing on the show. The group contributed with the song Signal Fire to the soundtrack of Spider-Man, the song was the first single from the album and appeared in the end credits of the film. His latest album is called A Hundred Million Suns, the first single, "Take Back the City is launched in October 2008.
